Out and About

The service operates various outreach services which could benefit your business by helping visitors have a more welcomed, informed and memorable experience.

  • Posters promoting forthcoming tourism events can be displayed at one or more of the district’s 26 blue tourist information points. Event posters need to be taken to the Visitor Information Service at Droit House, Margate, at least 4-6 weeks before the event. During peak times it may not be possible to display posters on every board. There is currently no charge for this service.
  • Visitor Maps are available for visitors to pick up at one of our Key Information Points in a variety of locations.  These include hotels, guest houses, restaurants and cafes, train stations and the Harbour. For a supply of maps at your business email: visitorinformation@thanet.gov.uk
  • Representatives of the Visitor Information Service team regularly attend busy events to promote the towns and their attractions and activities alongside providing event attendees with advice and answering their questions about the area.
